And here the second batch of finished minis. These took me a little longer because I was sick and there was a lot more freehand painting involved.

Sorry in advance for the bad lighting on the "before" pictures. I thought I had enough light but later found out I did ´t.... Well by then it was to late to take some better pictures.

Tokaido 1

So, this is going to be my first post in english.
My best friend backed the game "Tokaido" on Kickstarter. As he really does not want to paint his minis, he ordered the prepainted once. After much delay he finally got his 35 prepainted minis and was a bit shocked about the sloppy paintjob they had recieved.
So he asked me to repaint the Tokaido minis for him.

Well, here are the first 10. This took me about 3 days with 3 - 4 hours of painting a day.
As something new I made a side to side comparison between the prepainted and how I painted the minis.
Over all I tried to be as true to the original artwork as I was able to. With some minis though I deviated from the original artwork. For instance the sunglasses on the big guy are the idea of my friend who thought that the rectangular eyes were insane.

I am currently working on the batch of the next ten minis.

Ogre - Stonehorn

Da ich noch einige überzähliche Gnoblar übrig hatte habe ich ein paar der kleinen in einer Art Karavane zu der Base des Steinyaks hinzu gefügt.

Ogre - Mournfang cavalry

So, nach längerer Krankheit habe ich wieder einige schöne Modelle fertigstellen können. Als erstes meine 3 Modelle der Trauerzahn Kavallerie von "Games Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com).

Ich habe die Bases, im Sinne meiner kompletten Ogerarmee, vom Stil her an eine rote Steinwüste angepasst. Die Trauerzähne dagegen sind ja, laut der Hintergrundgeschichte Wesen aus den verschneiten Gipfeln des Trauergebirges. Dort lauern sie in Schneeverwehungen auf ihre ahnungslosen Opfer. Ergo habe ich ihr Fell in einem hellen grau-weiß angemalt.

Ich mag meine Oger einfach. :-)

Und hier nochmal ein, für mich, eher ungewöhnliches Model. "Käptn Bladrukk" der Warhammer 40k Orks von "Games Workshop" (https://www.games-workshop.com/de-DE/Käpt-n-Badrukk).

Dieses Model hat mir großen Spaß beim anmalen gemacht. :-)

Sieht ein bisschen aus wie der Räuber Hotzenplotz. ;-)
