A Giant

Yep that's it!
This my friends is a giant.

This one comes from "Reaper Miniatures" (https://www.reapermini.com) and is part of their "Bones" collection.
I gave him a nice bushy beard and a few Ogre Bitz. He now is a centerpiece for my Ogre/Ogor army and just looks really cool.

The only problem with Reaper Mini Bones is as always how to keep them from getting sticky?
Well I am still trying to find a perfect solution to this, but so far I am still searching.

Anyway, looks cool, doesn't it?

Bragg the Huntsman

So after finishing my dwarven army (though I hope to add some of the new steampunky stuff Games Workshop is going to release for them soon), I want to show you the newest addition to my Ogre army: Bragg the Huntsman.

This mini was made by "Games Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com) and just looks cool. I am not sure about the "battlefield" use the guy has, but still looks cool.

Skaven - Rat Ogres + a packmaster

Well and here we come to one of my favorit unit in my Skaven army -> the rat ogres!
I just love Ogres in general but these rat Ogres are just as cool. :-)
Ok now for the models; two of these, including the packmaster are out of the "blood isle" set made by "Games-Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com).
The third rat Ogre is called "giant wererat" and out of the "bones" collection by "Reaper Miniatures" (http://www.reapermini.com).
Tragically the plastic that is used for the minis out of the "bones" collection does not agree with the varnish I normally use for my minis. So I could not use my usual varnish that gives everything a more "matté" look, but rather had to use a more typicall varnish that gives the model a more shiny look. I don´t like it but I have no choice in this....
If any of you has some experience with varnish and reaper plastic, write me please.

Silver Tower 7 - Ogre Thaumaturge

Here we come to one of the coolest models I have painted in a long time: The Ogre Mage (thats what I call him anyway^^) out of the "Silver Tower - Warhammer Quest" box made by "Games-Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com).

For this beast, I took a look at the official coloring scheme and descided that this did not look like the mutated Ogre I had in mind. I thought that this creature had formerly been an Ogre who had been corrupted by Tzeenth and thus had been given a more demon like look. So I gave him the skin color of my Ogre army and put a few "fey fire" touches on it.

Hope you like my version of the ogre mage. :-)

Ogre - Stonehorn

Und hier eines der tollsten Modelle die ich jemals die Freude hatte anmalen zu dürfen:

Da ich noch einige überzähliche Gnoblar übrig hatte habe ich ein paar der kleinen in einer Art Karavane zu der Base des Steinyaks hinzu gefügt.

Ogre - Mournfang cavalry

So, nach längerer Krankheit habe ich wieder einige schöne Modelle fertigstellen können. Als erstes meine 3 Modelle der Trauerzahn Kavallerie von "Games Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com).

Ich habe die Bases, im Sinne meiner kompletten Ogerarmee, vom Stil her an eine rote Steinwüste angepasst. Die Trauerzähne dagegen sind ja, laut der Hintergrundgeschichte Wesen aus den verschneiten Gipfeln des Trauergebirges. Dort lauern sie in Schneeverwehungen auf ihre ahnungslosen Opfer. Ergo habe ich ihr Fell in einem hellen grau-weiß angemalt.

Ich mag meine Oger einfach. :-)
