Silver Tower 11 - Chaos Familiars

Well as I have finished the whole "Silver Tower - Warhammer Quest" by "Games Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com) soon, here come the Chaos Familiars.
As there are four pairs of two identical familiars, the official coloring scheme suggests to paint the pairs with the same colors so they look completly alike.
I did not like this and therefore I made some effort to make them as different as much as I could.

Silver Tower 10 - Gaunt Summoner of Tzeentch

Now we come to a really well made model, the "Gaunt Summoner of Tzeentch" out of the "Silver Tower" set from "Games-Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com).

I thought that this guy should fit in well with the Tzaangors and therefore he follows a rather similar coloring scheme.

Silver Tower 8 - Tzaangors

And here come the "Tzaangors" out of the "Silver Tower" set from "Games-Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com).
The official painting scheme wants their skin to be blue and their armor to be a different shade of blue. Well, everyone who knows me, also knows that I find this to be boring and therefore I changed it up a bit.

To me the Tzaangors are more demonic than everything else. Thats why I painted them pink, like the pink horrors. I think it looks good on them. :-)

Silver Tower 7 - Ogre Thaumaturge

Here we come to one of the coolest models I have painted in a long time: The Ogre Mage (thats what I call him anyway^^) out of the "Silver Tower - Warhammer Quest" box made by "Games-Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com).

For this beast, I took a look at the official coloring scheme and descided that this did not look like the mutated Ogre I had in mind. I thought that this creature had formerly been an Ogre who had been corrupted by Tzeenth and thus had been given a more demon like look. So I gave him the skin color of my Ogre army and put a few "fey fire" touches on it.

Hope you like my version of the ogre mage. :-)

Silver Tower 6 - The Cultists

And here we come to the group of 8 cultists from the "Silver Tower - Warhammer Quest" set from "Games-Workshop" (www.games-workshop.com). I thought it was boring to make them look alikes as is suggested in the official coloring scheme, so I made them a little more diverse in their skin color.

Silver Tower 5 - Brimstone Horros

Now for the "Brimstone Horros". Those were really easy to paint as I have my own style of painting fire and well, my hands did those little buggers all on their own. ;-)

I just love painting fire. :-)
